Hand Arendall Harrison Sale Attorneys Elected to Birmingham Bar Association Probate Section Board for 2026

Hand Arendall Harrison Sale is pleased to announce that Chris Hamer, Alan Duke, and Nicole Bracey Norwood have been elected to serve on the Birmingham Bar Association Probate Section Board for the 2026 term. Alan Duke has also been elected to serve as the Section’s Probate Court Liaison.

“Our firm has a long history of service within the Birmingham Bar Association,” said Ben Goldman, Managing Lawyer of Hand Arendall Harrison Sale’s Birmingham office and a member of the Birmingham Bar Executive Committee. “That history is reflected in our lawyers’ leadership within the Bar, 100 percent participation in the Association, and partnership with the Birmingham Bar Foundation, and we are proud to continue it through their service on the Probate Section Board.”

“The Probate Section does important work that often happens quietly but has a real impact on day-to-day practice and on the lives of the citizens who rely on the probate court at critical moments,” said Chris Hamer. “We’re glad to continue that work and support the Section’s efforts during the 2026 term.”

Chris Hamer concentrates his practice on complex probate and fiduciary litigation, including contested estates, trust disputes, guardianships, and conservatorships. He has a long record of service within the Birmingham Bar Association, including prior service as Chair of the Probate Section and board service with Volunteer Lawyers Birmingham, and is a Life Fellow of the Birmingham Bar Foundation.

Alan Duke focuses his practice on probate and trust litigation at both the trial and appellate levels and is actively involved in bar service. He currently serves on the Birmingham Bar Association Grievance Committee, previously served as Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Section, and is a Fellow of the Birmingham Bar Foundation.

Nicole Bracey Norwood represents individuals and families in estate planning, as well as fiduciaries and beneficiaries in probate matters. She has been actively involved in bar service through the Birmingham Bar Association, including prior service on the Probate Section Board.

The Birmingham Bar Association is the principal voluntary bar organization serving lawyers and judges in the Birmingham metropolitan area. Through its sections and committees, the Association supports continuing legal education, professional standards, and service to the community. The Probate Section focuses on matters involving estates, trusts, guardianships, conservatorships, and fiduciary practice, and serves as a forum for education and professional engagement among lawyers practicing in probate-related fields.

Hand Arendall Harrison Sale congratulates Chris, Alan, and Nicole on their election to the Probate Section Board for the 2026 term.
