Biographical Information

Catherine R. Churchill is an associate at the Panama City office. Her practice is primarily focused on transactional and institutional law, including estate planning, education law and local government law.

Ms. Churchill earned her Juris Doctorate from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia and is an Equal Access to Justice – Vos Non Vobis Endowed Scholar. During her time at Mercer, she was a member of the Mercer Advocacy Counsel, pioneering the inaugural Mercer Law Mediation Team and competing in the 2023-2024 American Bar Association Mediation Competition. She also served as the presidents of the Association of Women Law Students and the Environmental Law Society. In her last year, she earned a certificate in advanced legal writing, research, and drafting and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award.

Before attending law school, Ms. Churchill graduated cum laude from the University of West Florida with a bachelor’s degree in biology. While there, she was the president of the UWF Botanical Society, and participated in biological research under the Biology Coquina Research Experience program. During that time, she was published with the Journal of Student Research. Ms. Churchill also graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Gulf Coast State College. She served as treasurer for her chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and was a member of the All-Florida Academic Team. 

Ms. Churchill grew up in Panama City, FL. Before entering the legal field, she taught science to middle schoolers. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, and scrapbooking.
