Biographical Information

Paul Markovits is a strategic litigator known for his results-driven approach to complex litigation and his unwavering commitment to understanding his clients’ concerns. He brings a sophisticated, aggressive advocacy style to every matter, whether in the courtroom or at the negotiating table, and is trusted for his ability to navigate high-stakes disputes with precision and discretion.

Paul’s practice is focused on litigation, where he represents clients across a broad spectrum of complex matters. He is experienced in handling cases from initial assessment through trial, and he approaches each engagement with meticulous attention to detail and a clear, strategic vision. Paul’s ability to distill complex issues and analyze their legal intricacies allows him to develop practical legal strategies while maintaining efficiency and client-focused results.

Before entering private practice, Paul served for over three years as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice. As an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Texas along the U.S.–Mexico border, he prosecuted sophisticated, cartel-related matters, securing approvals for wiretaps, search warrants, and drafting motions. He later continued his service in the Middle District of Alabama, where he handled a wide range of federal prosecutions. This experience provides Paul with a distinct perspective on government investigations, enforcement priorities, and trial strategy in complex, high-exposure cases. Paul’s experience extends into the courtroom where he has taken cases from indictment through trial.

Paul’s background also includes judicial clerkships in both Delaware and Maryland. He served as a judicial law clerk in the Superior Court of Delaware in Dover, a court of statewide original jurisdiction over most civil and criminal matters. He also clerked for the Honorable Angela M. Eaves in the Circuit Court for Harford County, who now serves as a Justice on the Supreme Court of Maryland. These roles provided him with invaluable insight into judicial decision-making and the inner workings of trial courts.

Paul earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School in Wilmington, Delaware, where he received a Certificate of Achievement in Professional Responsibility and served on the board of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. He earned his Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania, with a concentration in Business Technology and a minor in Law & Society.

In 2025, Paul relocated to Panama City Beach, where he enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle. Outside of his practice, he spends his time at the beach, boating, and fishing, and values time with family, friends, and his dog.
