Biographical Information

Emily Van Haneghan is an associate in the Firm’s litigation section. She maintains a diverse litigation practice with an emphasis on labor and employment law, as well as federal court litigation. Emily has a wide range of experience in a variety of areas of civil litigation, including employment litigation, life, health and disability, and automobile and trucking litigation.

Emily earned her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Emily served as a member of the Alabama Law Review, the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board, and Alabama’s Jessup International Law Moot Court Team.

Before joining the Firm, Emily gained valuable experience as a law clerk to the Honorable L. Scott Coogler, District Court Judge for the Northern District of Alabama.

Emily is a member of the Mobile Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
