Biographical Information

Jason Lee is a member in the litigation section. He works with clients in the areas of construction and public contracts, OSHA, land use and environmental, professional liability, transportation, insurance coverage and bad faith. 

He is a 2002 graduate of Auburn University, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.  Mr. Lee specialized in Construction Management and completed his senior thesis in Concrete Design. While earning his Engineering degree from Auburn, Mr. Lee was awarded the State of Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors Scholarship and successfully completed the professional requirements for the Cooperative Education Program. While pursuing his Engineering degree, Mr. Lee worked with an Engineering News-Record top 25 General Contractor constructing commercial projects in Atlanta, Georgia. Furthermore, Mr. Lee gained additional design and technical experience working with the National Center for Asphalt Technology at Auburn University as well as managing preconstruction services for a large Water and WasteWater General Contractor in Georgia.

After graduating from Auburn University, Mr. Lee accepted a management position with an Engineering News-Record top 40 General Contractor in Atlanta, Georgia where he completed the construction of the Flint RiverQuarium and the I-Works Imagination Theater – a project designed by architect Antoine Predock. Afterward, Mr. Lee managed large Civil Construction projects for owners such as Alabama Power, Georgia Power, and The United States General Services Administration.

In 2008, Mr. Lee received his Master of Business Administration from Samford University, Brock School of Business. After which, Mr. Lee managed studio and design operations for healthcare and institutional projects for one of the largest, most discipline-diverse design firms in the United States based in Nashville, Tennessee.

In 2014, Mr. Lee received his Juris Doctorate from The Cumberland School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Lee was a Judge Abraham Caruthers Teaching Fellow, member of the 2012 and 2013 Career Advisory Board, member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, 2012 Semi-Finalist in the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Competition, and recipient of the Scholar of Merit for Environmental Issues in Real Estate.

Mr. Lee began his practice at a regional law firm in 2014. He resides in Homewood with his wife Elizabeth, and their three sons; Edward Pate, Robert Turner and John Ford, where they attend Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.

Several of our lawyers also have specific experience handling disputes involving federal government projects governed by the Federal Acquisition Regulation. From shipbuilding facilities to aircraft manufacturing facilities, and from office buildings to planned residential development, our construction litigation experience truly runs the gamut, and this allows us to offer insightful advice and strategic representation that addresses the specific business, financial and legal concerns raised by our clients’ disputes.
