Biographical Information

Jack O’Dowd is an associate in the Firm’s business section and he assists clients with all types of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and general corporate issues. Jack also works with families on their estate planning needs and guides them through the probate court process. He routinely assists business clients and their principals with entity formation and contract negotiation, buying and selling businesses, business succession, and legal concerns that arise in the course of operating a business.

Raised in Mobile, Jack received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of South Alabama and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. Jack began his career in the tax section of a Big 4 accounting firm in Atlanta and is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Jack and his wife, Anna, live in Mobile with their four children, where the O’Dowds are active parishioners of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Jack serves on the board of directors of the soccer based charity Soccer4Life, and he also enjoys playing and coaching the “beautiful game.”
